Croatian midfielder Luka Modrić has spoken about his motivation and his dream of winning trophies with AC Milan, the club he joined on a one-year contract.
Despite turning 40 next month, Modrić is determined to keep playing at the highest level and give his all for his new Serie A team.
A lifelong Milan fan, he revealed that he spoke with Carlo Ancelotti, who gave him full support for this new chapter. Modrić stressed that qualifying for the Champions League and winning trophies are his main goals for the season.
“Love for football and passion are what keep me on the pitch,” said Modrić, adding that family will always remain his number one priority.
He is also looking forward to the derby matches against Inter, where he will face his fellow countryman Petar Sučić.
