Real Madrid has confirmed the extension of striker Gonzalo García’s contract, keeping him at the club for the next five seasons, until June 30, 2030.
“Real Madrid CF and Gonzalo García have agreed to extend our player’s contract, which keeps him at the club until 2030,” read the announcement from the Madrid club.
“Gonzalo, who joined Real in 2014 at the age of 10, has spent a decade in the youth academy and played the last two seasons with Castilla. His debut with the first team came in November 2023, where he contributed to winning the La Liga title. Gonzalo was the top scorer at the FIFA Club World Cup and was included in FIFA’s best XI,” Real Madrid highlighted in the statement.
Last season, he scored 25 goals for Castilla, becoming the top scorer in the history of the Primera Federación since its creation and equaling Castilla’s best scoring record of the 21st century.
The club also recalled his successes with the U19 team, where he won the treble in the 2022-2023 season (League, Copa del Rey, and King’s Cup), as well as the Copa del Rey in the 2021-2022 season.
With the new contract, Gonzalo García will be part of Real Madrid’s first team.
