Lamine Yamal has begun to make his mark as Barcelona’s new No. 10, scoring two goals within the first 45 minutes.
The Catalans are playing against FC Seoul, and the first half ended with a 3-2 scoreline.
The 18-year-old La Masia talent, who inherited the iconic jersey once worn by Lionel Messi, showed his class with a spectacular moment: he recovered the ball, burst past defenders with speed, and fired a powerful shot from distance to make it 2-0.
The match is still ongoing, but Yamal has undoubtedly been the brightest figure on the pitch with his impressive performance.
He also played a key role in Barcelona’s opening goal, when in the 9th minute he struck the post with a powerful shot from a tight angle.
The rebound fell to Robert Lewandowski, who easily slotted it in to give Barcelona an early 1-0 lead.
Then, in the very last minute of the first half, Yamal appeared again — scoring his second personal goal of the match to make it 3-2.
Yamal is showing early signs that an even more spectacular season with Barcelona may lie ahead.
