Allegri: We want to return to the Champions League

Massimiliano Allegri has expressed his happiness at once again taking charge of AC Milan.

Fifteen years after his first spell at the helm of the Rossoneri, the Italian coach is once again leading the Milan side.

Allegri is currently with the team in Perth, Australia, where Milan will wrap up their summer tour on July 31st with a friendly match against Perth Glory.

Excited about his return, Allegri did not hide his special connection with the club from San Siro.

“I’ve returned to Milan after 15 years and I’m happy to be here. It’s going to be an important season for us, and we want to return to the Champions League. Milan is one of the most important clubs in the world and must play in the Champions League. When you wear this shirt, you feel the responsibility of representing one of football’s historic clubs, and you must always give everything,”

Allegri said in an interview with Eurosport.

“I chose Milan because I love this team and I couldn’t say no. I do this job with passion and dedication, and I’m convinced that together we’ll achieve the goals we’ve set for ourselves,” Allegri added.
