Russell Crowe was born on April 7, 1964, in Wellington, New Zealand, but he moved to Australia with his family at a young age. His parents worked in the film industry, which exposed him to acting early in life. Crowe began performing as a child and later pursued music before fully committing to an acting career. Though he has spent most of his life in Australia, Crowe maintains strong ties to both New Zealand and Australia and holds citizenship in both countries
