Fabio Capello has revealed the names of the three greatest footballers in history according to him: Pelé, Diego Maradona, and Lionel Messi.
According to the well-known Italian coach, these are the only ones who deserve the status of “genius.”
“In football, there are three geniuses: Pelé, Maradona, and Messi. Period. Cristiano Ronaldo is great, but not on that level,” Capello declared.
He recalled playing against Pelé and witnessing Maradona’s brilliance up close when the Argentine led Napoli in Serie A.
