Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has confirmed his ambition to win the prestigious Ballon d’Or award, emphasizing that his motivation goes beyond personal glory.
The Egyptian forward has been one of the top performers of the season, delivering an impressive 28 goals and 18 assists — leading Liverpool to success in both the Premier League and European competitions.
“I’m confident I have a good chance to win it this year, but we’ll see,” said Salah when asked about his aspirations for football’s most prestigious individual prize.
He emphasized that his main focus remains on collective trophies with Liverpool, particularly the Premier League and the Champions League.
However, Salah made it clear that the Ballon d’Or holds a special significance for him: “I want to win it for my people,” he said, highlighting the pride it would bring to his country — Egypt.
