Napoli has made significant progress in negotiations to sign Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez, according to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano. Following initial contact, the Italian club has now entered serious discussions with the player’s representatives.
Nunez is expected to leave Anfield this summer, having failed to establish himself as an undisputed starter for the Reds.
The Uruguayan forward has also attracted interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, who are reportedly ready to make substantial offers.
However, Napoli appears more determined and is actively working to convince the 25-year-old to make the move to Serie A.
During the past season, Nunez scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 47 appearances across all competitions.
Most of his appearances came from the bench, fueling speculation about a possible departure during the summer transfer window.
