Victor Osimhen is once again on the verge of conflict with Napoli, as the club is demanding β¬75 million, while he seems to prefer staying with Galatasarayβfor a very simple reason.
The striker joined Galatasaray last summer after the transfer window in most European leagues had closed and no club was willing to meet the amount requested by both Napoli and the player himself.
His stay in Turkey was meant to be a temporary loan so he could get regular playing time and maintain his market value. And it worked: he scored 37 goals and provided 8 assists in 41 official matches for the Turkish club.
Now, both parties are once again at a crossroads. Napoli has rejected Al-Hilalβs β¬65 million offer plus bonuses and insists that the β¬74 million release clause must be respected. Meanwhile, Osimhen himself is hesitating.

Osimhen Wants Champions League Football
According to Fabrizio Romano, Sky Sports Deutschland, and Turkish transfer expert Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Osimhen would be willing to accept a slightly lower salary and remain at Galatasarayβas long as it guarantees Champions League football next season. This poses a problem, as although Galatasaray can offer a salary of β¬21 million per season, the transfer fee still falls far short of Napoliβs β¬75 million demand.
Both sides had hoped Premier League clubs would intervene, but just like last summer, they have been surprisingly reserved when it comes to making major offers. Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and others are currently considering other targets.
This is shaping up to be another tense summer, with Osimhen and Napoli standing firm in defense of their vastly different interests.
