Trent Alexander-Arnold has turned down an offer from Liverpool that would have made him the highest-paid full-back in the world in order to join Real Madrid.
The English defender was offered several contract extensions by Liverpool, but he politely declined as his ambitions were focused elsewhere.
It is believed that Liverpool may have offered a salary of around €400,000 per week to convince Trent to stay, according to the English outlet The Athletic
Trent is considered one of the best attacking right-backs in the world, having registered 92 assists for Liverpool before leaving the club.
PSG were also interested in the English full-back, but the player’s desire was solely to join Real Madrid.
