Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah believes that the Premier League title won this season is much more beautiful than the one achieved under Jurgen Klopp in 2020.
Salah scored in Liverpool’s 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham at Anfield to secure the title with four games remaining under Arne Slot’s management.
The Egyptian was asked to compare this season’s title with the one won under Klopp during the pandemic.
“This one is much better, I’m 100% sure of that,” Salah told Sky Sports.
“Winning the title without Mane, without Jurgen, without Firmino and all the others feels more special. Now we have a different group, a different coach, so being able to do it again is something special,”
When asked if Slot had made him a better player, Salah joked: “You can look at the numbers, at least it seems that way.”
“He was very honest with me. Slot is quite tough — that’s evident in his personality. But he made life easier for us because he immediately knew what he wanted to do, and we did it,” said Salah.
