Poem by Janice D. Soderling

This is what remains:
pink granite karma, the white-wave sea
entwined by bodily rains.
Almost with gentleness,
a crack sways between two ferns,
the Sun patiently calculates
the cost, turns the pages of post-history.
Nothing else remains.
