Vinicius Junior is currently negotiating with Real Madrid to extend his contract, which is currently set to run until 2027.
Spanish media had reported that the Brazilian was close to reaching an agreement with the club, but The Athletic now reports that Vinicius’ agent claims they are nowhere near a deal.
The Brazilian and his agent are demanding the biggest contract in the club’s history and an annual salary of over €30 million—a figure slightly higher than what Cristiano Ronaldo earned during his time at Real Madrid. If he achieves it, Vinicius would become the highest-paid player in the history of Los Blancos.

The Brazilian forward joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in July 2018. Since then, he has become one of the club’s key players, known for his incredible speed, dribbling skills, and ability to score crucial goals.
During his time in Madrid, Vinícius has won a total of 14 trophies. He has lifted the UEFA Champions League twice (2022 and 2024), La Liga three times (2020, 2022, and 2024), and the Spanish Super Cup three times (2020, 2022, and 2024).
He also won the Copa del Rey in 2023, the FIFA Super Cup twice (2022 and 2024), and the FIFA Club World Cup (2018 and 2022).
This season, Vinícius Júnior has played 47 matches, scoring 20 goals and providing 14 assists across all competitions.
In La Liga alone, he has made 27 appearances, scoring 11 goals and registering seven assists.
