Manchester United is reportedly preparing an €85 million bid for a Real Madrid player who has been described as “their most important player.”
United is expected to bring in a number of reinforcements this summer as they aim to improve what has been a forgettable Premier League season.
Currently sitting 13th in the table and hoping to win the Europa League to secure qualification for next season’s Champions League, the Red Devils are set for a major summer overhaul.
Several players have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and the latest reports from Spain suggest that an €85 million offer is being prepared for Federico Valverde. The Uruguayan has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 46 appearances across all competitions so far, and has even worn the captain’s armband in matches where Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez were absent.

Although Valverde is under contract with Real Madrid until 2029 and remains a key part of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, Fichajes reports that United considers him a crucial piece in their new project.
Vinícius Jr, one of Real Madrid’s brightest stars, has described Valverde as the team’s most important player, stating that “he does everything fantastically.”
Valverde joined Real Madrid from Peñarol in 2016, initially playing for Real Madrid Castilla before making 305 first-team appearances, winning three La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies.
