Liverpool suffer but win at the last breath against Newcastle United

Liverpool have taken a hard-fought victory against Newcastle United 2-1.

It was a heated game at Anfield with many scoring chances from both teams

However, the guests were the first to take the lead, finding the goal seven minutes before the end of the first half.

It was the most expensive striker in the club’s history, Alexander Isak, who scored a beautiful goal after being assisted by Longstaff for 0-1.

The first 45 minutes at Anfield ended with the minimal lead of the guests.

The second half saw the locals who went all out to equalize the score.

Jurgen Klopp’s side did just that on the hour mark, with Roberto Firmino netting from Mohamed Salah’s assist to make it 1-1.

Liverpool continued attacking the away team and found the winning goal in the last breath of the match.

The referee had added five extra minutes, but the home team’s goal came in the 98th minute of the game.

It was the talented Fabio Carvalho who was found beautifully in the area and scored for 2-1 bringing indescribable joy to Anfield.

With this victory, Liverpool rose to fifth place with eight points, while Newcastle fell to 11th position with six points.

Liverpool’s next match is the city derby away to Everton, while Newcastle United host Crystal Palace at St James Park.
