Barcelona secured a dominant 4-1 victory over Girona in Matchday 29 of La Liga, ensuring they remain at the top of the Spanish championship.
Hansi Flick’s side controlled the game from the start and took the lead just before halftime, thanks to an own goal by Ladislav Krejci in the 43rd minute.
Girona responded early in the second half, leveling the score through Arnaut Danjuma in the 53rd minute.
However, Barcelona did not back down, and Robert Lewandowski restored the lead for the hosts in the 61st minute. The Polish striker continued his impressive form, scoring his second goal of the match in the 77th minute to seal the victory.
In the 86th minute, Ferran Torres added the fourth goal for Barcelona, securing a resounding triumph for the Blaugrana.
With this victory, Barcelona climbs to 66 points, maintaining their position at the top of La Liga, three points ahead of Real Madrid, who sit in second place with 63 points.
Meanwhile, Girona remains in 13th place with 34 points.
This win strengthens Barcelona’s title hopes, while Lewandowski continues to establish himself as the league’s top scorer this season.
