Ronaldo Advises Portuguese Star to Join Man United This Summer

Cristiano Ronaldo has given a helping hand to Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim in securing the transfer of one of his key summer targets.

It has been a dreadful season for United, as they currently sit in 13th place in the Premier League, 33 points behind league leaders Liverpool.

Erik ten Hag was sacked in October and was quickly replaced by Amorim, who has struggled to implement his style of play with the current squad.

Looking ahead to the future, reports suggest that United will be very active in the summer transfer window, with several players expected to leave the club while new signings are also anticipated.

According to The Sun, United have expressed interest in signing Francisco Trincão from Sporting Lisbon, a player who worked under Amorim during his time at the Portuguese club.

However, the report adds that Sporting is expected to play ‘hardball’ and will demand a fee of €50 million to let the player go. Additionally, Trincão’s former club, Barcelona, is reportedly set to activate their 50% buy-back clause, which could complicate the transfer for the Red Devils.

Despite this, it seems Cristiano Ronaldo has personally advised Trincão to join United.

Journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Ronaldo, along with Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot, has been trying to convince Trincão to make the move to Old Trafford.
