The renowned football defender, Marcelo, has retired at the age of 36.
The former Real Madrid player announced his decision to step away from the beautiful game through a video posted on social media.
Most recently, Marcelo was part of the Brazilian club Fluminense.
His most successful spell was at Real Madrid, where he played 546 matches, scored 38 goals, and provided 103 assists.
With the Madrid club, he won a total of 25 titles, making him one of the most decorated players in the club’s history.
