Milan legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic has shared his thoughts on the current season, the club’s January transfer strategy, and their latest major reinforcement, Santiago Gimenez.
Speaking to the press, Ibrahimovic acknowledged the team’s inconsistent form this season, as they recently dropped out of the top eight in the Champions League, while also struggling in Serie A.
“We have had ups and downs, but we are the only team that has already won a trophy,” Ibrahimovic initially stated.
The Swede revealed that the January transfer window was a busy and intense period, with the club parting ways with five players and bringing in an equal number of new signings.
He expressed satisfaction with the new arrivals, saying, “This squad will change our destiny.”
Ibrahimovic, an advisor to Milan’s owners, RedBird Capital, also shared his thoughts on Feyenoord’s central forward, Santiago Gimenez.
“Gimenez is a top talent with extraordinary potential. We all know how good he is,” he declared.
The former Swedish striker also shed light on the departure of Ismael Bennacer, stating that the player had requested a new experience and that the club had helped him find a suitable solution.
