Salah in the Jersey of the “New Club” – Is This a Sign That the Egyptian Has Decided on His Future?

Saudi Arabia’s top sports official, Turki Alalshikh, has posted a digitally created image of Mohamed Salah wearing the jersey of his new club.

The best-performing player in this Premier League season so far has yet to extend his contract with Liverpool, even though he is in the final months of his current deal. This means Salah is free to negotiate with other clubs.

Unhappy with the offer received from Liverpool, Salah has hinted at leaving the club. Apparently, to put pressure on the club’s management, from whom he seeks to achieve his financial goals, the Egyptian recently announced his intention to depart.

“This is my last year at the club, and I want to do something special for the city. Even though we waited over 30 years for that title, the pandemic prevented a proper celebration. I hope this year we’ll have the chance to do it right,” said Salah.

The Egyptian further explained that he was dissatisfied with the lack of progress in negotiations.

“So far? Yes. Over the past six months, there hasn’t been any progress in negotiations. We’re far from an agreement, so now we just have to wait and see what happens,” Salah told Sky Sports ten days ago.

If Salah leaves Liverpool, he has two lucrative offers on the table. One is from Paris Saint Germain, and the other from Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia’s leading sports figure, Turki Alalshikh, stirred the public today by posting a picture of Salah wearing an Al-Hilal jersey.

The most powerful Saudi club has already brought in numerous stars, but it is dissatisfied with its investment in Neymar. Signing Salah would represent the most significant deal in the club’s history.
