The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner, Rodri, recently spoke in an interview with “AS.”
In the interview, Rodri was asked about Cristiano Ronaldo’s comments on the Ballon d’Or, where the Portuguese star referred to the Spaniard’s win as unfair.
“Well, it’s surprising, really, because he knows better than anyone how this award works and, above all, how the winner is chosen. This year, the journalists who vote decided that I should win. Perhaps the same journalists were the ones who, at some point, voted for him to win, and I believe he agreed with it back then,” said Rodri.
Currently, Rodri is sidelined due to an injury he sustained during the match against Arsenal, where he tore his ligaments.
