Tremors: Shrieker Island (2020) is the seventh installment in the beloved Tremors franchise, continuing the series’ legacy of mixing thrilling monster action with sharp humor. Directed by Don Michael Paul, this film delivers more of the outrageous, creature-feature fun that fans have come to expect, all while adding new elements to refresh the series.
The plot revolves around the discovery of a secluded island where a private hunting reserve has been established. But things go horribly wrong when the island’s inhabitants, including a group of hunters and a team of scientists, accidentally unleash a new breed of deadly Graboids and their even more terrifying offspring, the Shriekers. These creatures are faster, more aggressive, and harder to kill than ever before, causing chaos and carnage as they hunt down their human prey.
The film brings back Burt Gummer (played by Michael Gross), the survivalist and longtime fan favorite who has become the heart and soul of the Tremors series. This time, Burt is called upon to help stop the out-of-control creatures on the island, bringing his trademark wit, weapons, and experience to the fight. He teams up with a new group of characters, including a scientist and a group of mercenaries, as they attempt to survive and contain the deadly situation.
