Homeland” (2011) is an American political thriller TV series that follows Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes), a CIA officer with bipolar disorder, as she investigates threats to national security. The story begins with the return of Marine Sergeant Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), who was presumed dead after being captured by Al-Qaeda in Iraq for eight years. However, Brody is found alive and is hailed as a war hero.
