Darwin Nunez scored the first goal in the 20th minute after an assist from Mohamed Salah, who scored six minutes before the end to secure Arne Slot’s team’s ninth victory.
After 11 matches so far, Liverpool leads the table with 28 points. “The Reds” now have a five-point advantage over their closest rival, Manchester City, who have entered a poor run of results.
Aston Villa has 18 points in eighth place.
