Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick, held his press conference ahead of the La Liga derby against Espanyol. “We had a long week to prepare for the game, and after two days off, the players returned with energy. We always prepare well for the next match, and if we win, we want to celebrate,” Flick began.
“The way Cubarsi and Martinez play helps us a lot. It’s not easy to play like that for the entire 90 minutes.”
“We’re in a good moment, I’m pleased with today’s training, and the team showed what we want to see tomorrow. If we do that, the fans will be happy, and we are focused on ourselves. There will be no rotations; I always think about the next game. We’re playing against Espanyol, and we’ll see what happens in the Champions League match,” the coach added.
“What’s happening in Valencia (the tragic flooding) is something terrible. We will try to help in any way we can. If the game will be canceled, it’s La Liga’s decision. If it were up to me, I would cancel all sports. Events like this represent a terrible tragedy for Valencia and all of Spain,” Flick added.
