Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has showered his player, Vinicius Junior, with praise.
The Brazilian star was outstanding last night, especially in the second half, securing Real’s comeback win against Borussia Dortmund with a 5-2 scoreline in the Champions League group stage. The 24-year-old netted his first career hat-trick in the Champions League and received praise from all directions, just days before the Ballon d’Or ceremony, where he is considered the absolute favorite.
“It’s rare to see a player perform like that in the second half. It’s unusual to see this now, or even in the past. He brought energy, intensity, character. It was an extraordinary performance. He can make the difference. He’s respected in this country. He’s helping in the fight against racism; he’s highly respected,” the Italian coach initially stated for the club’s official website,
“Vinicius Junior will win the Ballon d’Or, but not because of what he did tonight. He will win it for what he has done throughout the past year, helping us win the Champions League. These three goals will help him ahead of the Ballon d’Or ceremony,” added “Don Carlo.”
Vinicius Junior has scored eight goals at the start of this season and has been a crucial player for Real in recent seasons.
