SOCIAL MEDIA

In the blur light’s spectral glow
we cast our shadows on digital walls,
silhouettes, not quite whole,
half-formed in a pixelated landscape.

Fingertips in a hurried ballet,
likes and shares,
our new currency,
a silent scream for validation.

Faces multi-filtered,
lives curated in real time,
the world sees our highlights,
while hiding the true shadows within.

Voices loud, opinions amplified,
outrage churned in echo chambers
empathy drowns in the noise,
A cacophony of discontent.

In this vast network, we are
more connected than ever,
yet loneliness lingers in the passing bytes,
flowing in the stream of social media
