Amid the ongoing tensions between ex-couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the staff of the Venice Film Festival scheduled separate timings for their participation.
They did this to ensure that the pair would not encounter each other at the festival. In a recent interview, the event’s artistic director, Alberto Barbera, stated that their films would be shown on two separate days. Barbera emphasized that they made sure Jolie and Pitt would be as far apart as possible during the premiere screenings.
“Angelina will be there on the first day, Thursday [August 29], and will leave immediately with [the film’s director Maria], Pablo Larrain, to attend the Telluride Film Festival,” he told Vanity Fair. “Brad will arrive in Venice on Saturday. There is no way they will cross paths at the Lido,” Barbera further highlighted.
Jolie debuted her film “Maria” in Venice, which portrays the life of opera singer Maria Callas, while Pitt will be coming to Venice for the premiere of his film “Wolves” with George Clooney.
She and Pitt were married in 2014, but the actress filed for divorce two years later.
