Milan Reaches Agreement with Monaco for Fofana

Milan and Monaco have finally reached an agreement for the transfer of midfielder Youssouf Fofana, several weeks after the Rossoneri first expressed their interest.

According to reports from France, Milan has agreed to pay a sum of €23 million plus €2 million in bonuses, making some adjustments from their last offer of €20 million plus €5 million in add-ons, reports Gazeta Express.

The French midfielder is expected to sign a four-year contract with Milan, which will last until the summer of 2028. RMC Sport adds that Fofana could arrive in Italy before the start of the Serie A season this weekend.

Milan has long sought to reach an agreement with the Ligue 1 team for Fofana, but faced difficulties as a number of European clubs showed interest in signing him.

Among the biggest clubs that created obstacles for Milan was Manchester United, but there was also interest from Atletico Madrid and West Ham at different stages of the transfer market.

However, it seems that the clubs have reached a middle ground after several weeks of negotiations.
