Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has given his verdict on who should win the Ballon d’Or for 2024.
The Italian coach mentioned possible names being considered on the shortlist for the individual award but chose his “favorite.”
According to him, Vinicius will win the Ballon d’Or, and he gave his reasons for this, also mentioning two other players from his team, Dani Carvajal and Jude Bellingham.
“Vinicius Jr will win the Ballon d’Or, in my opinion. Carvajal also did very well; he won La Liga, the Champions League, and scored in the final, won the Euro… But Vinicius… talented player, young, good image, won La Liga, won the Champions League by scoring in the final and semi-final. He scored two in Munich!”
“Jude had a fantastic season. Winning the Champions League, winning the league, and he was a big surprise. The best player of the league season,” he said.
He also mentioned Rodri, whom he called a fantastic midfielder.
“Rodri is also a fantastic midfielder, one of the best midfielders in the race and consistent,” he said.
