The 2022 Ballon d’Or winner and former Real Madrid player, Karim Benzema, has commented on Kylian Mbappe’s move to Santiago Bernabeu.
“I knew that sooner or later Mbappe would become a Real Madrid player. I always thought so – and it turned out that way. He is an extraordinary footballer,” said Benzema, who currently plays for Saudi Al Ittihad, in an interview with Marca newspaper.
Mbappe joined Real Madrid as a free agent after not renewing his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. The striker’s contract with the “royal club” runs until the summer of 2024.
