Kylian Mbappe is now officially a Real Madrid player.
The club president, Florentino Perez, welcomed the player to the council hall of “Real Madrid City,” where the French forward signed the contract that will bind him to the club for the next five seasons.
After the signing, Mbappe was given a replica of the stadium, a watch, and a jersey with his name and the number “9” printed on it. The European champions have strengthened their squad with a global superstar, who enjoyed his best season with PSG (44 goals) and has been the top scorer in the French Ligue 1 for the past six seasons.
The Madrid team has reinforced their squad with a forward, the captain of the French national team, with which he won the World Cup in 2018 and the Nations League in 2021, and scored the winning goal.
In the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Mbappe won the Golden Boot with 8 goals and, after his hat-trick in the final, became the all-time top scorer in World Cup finals (4).
Mbappe is the all-time top scorer for Paris Saint-Germain with 256 goals, and this season he has won the league title, the Coupe de France, and the French Super Cup.
In seven years at the Parisian club, he has amassed 17 trophies: Ligue 1 (6), Coupe de France (4), French Super Cup (5), and Coupe de la Ligue (2).
