Spanish midfielder Rodri is amazed by the performances of 16-year-old Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal.
In an interview with the Spanish media outlet “Diario AS” on Friday, Rodri emphasized that in the coming years, Yamal could become the best footballer in the world.
“I see a maturity in him that I have never seen before, honestly. And I see great potential in Yamal. In one or two years, he will be one of the best in the world. But above all, I see him as a very calm guy, eager to learn. In Lamine, I see a guy with a desire to win collectively. These traits make him one of the best footballers for the years to come,” Rodri stated.
The supertalent Yamal has also become the youngest scorer in the history of the European Championships. Yamal scored a superb goal in the Euro 2024 semifinal match against France. The 16-year-old has also contributed with three assists in six matches played for Spain.
