Manchester United is finalizing deals for Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs De Ligt.
Fabrizio Romano wrote: “Manchester United has the green light from Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt to join the club.”
“Both players have spoken with Erik ten Hag, with Man United now ready to advance on the club’s side in the coming days. Everything is approved in terms of salary/commission for Zirkzee as well.”
Zirkzee’s contract includes a release clause of 40 million euros and negotiations are ongoing regarding the fee.
The clause must be paid in full, presenting a possible cash flow issue, so United is considering whether to activate it or negotiate a special price. The 23-year-old Dutchman had an excellent season in Italy, scoring 11 goals in the league and providing five assists, helping Bologna qualify for the Champions League next season.
As for De Ligt, Bayern is asking for a fee of 50 million euros.
