The first half ended with a score of 0-0, but early in the second half, it was Olmo who gave Spain the first lead.
Germany did not give up until the end, equalizing everything in the 89th minute through Wirtz.
The match went into extra time, and when it seemed that the winner would be determined by penalties, it was Mikel Merino who headed in to give Spain the lead in the 119th minute.
