Today we have two spectacular events waiting for us in Euro 2024.

After three weeks of competition in the European Championship “Germany 2024”, the quarterfinals begin today with two absolute classics of European football ahead of us.

Since the beginning of the European Championship, we haven’t had two such derbies, and now we will have them in one day, almost one after the other.

At 18:00, Spain and Germany meet, and three hours later, Portugal and France.

According to many, Spain and Germany have shown the most during this European Championship and were seen in the final, but this was not possible due to the draw, as the ‘balls’ predicted that these two selections would meet in the quarterfinals.

It is difficult to determine even a slight favorite in this duel. Spain easily defeated all its rivals in this European championship, while Germany beat everyone except the Swiss, but even that was enough to secure the top spot in the group.

The match between Spain and Germany will be played at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart starting at 18:00 and will be officiated by the Englishman Anthony Taylor. About 55,000 spectators are expected in the stadium.

Three hours later, the encounter between Portugal and France will be no less exciting. It is also a duel of selections that see themselves in the final and even a step further in this European championship.

Unlike the first duel of the day, it seems that Portugal and France still owe us during this edition of Euro 2024.

This is especially true for France, whose players have yet to score a goal from open play in this European championship. They reached the quarterfinals thanks to two own goals and a penalty, but all these powerful stars of the ‘Roosters’ are ready to perform exactly when expected of them.

On the other hand, Portugal is awaiting France after a real drama and penalties against Slovenia. In that duel, Cristiano Ronaldo and his team ‘survived’ despite their poor performance, but today they certainly won’t be able to do the same if they don’t take advantage of their chances against the powerful France.

The duel between Portugal and France starts at 21:00 and will be officiated by an Englishman, this time Michael Oliver. The duel will be played at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg in front of about 50,000 spectators.
