Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti does not want to label his team as “favorites” ahead of the Champions League final, which will be played on June 1 at Wembley. The Italian coach is convinced that his team will have to suffer to win the club’s 15th Champions League title.
“We don’t think we are favorites. We have to play a perfect match against an opponent that deserves to be in the final, having eliminated quality teams. We are convinced that we will have to suffer, to fight, as in all finals,” Ancelotti said at a press conference.
“We are very clear about what Borussia Dortmund is, a team with a lot of history in this competition and experience. It is a team that has rightfully reached the final. The two best teams have arrived to play the Champions League final,” the Madrid coach declared.
