Barcelona has fired coach Xavi after a disappointing season.
The club announced the news on social media, stating that president Laporta informed the former Catalan footballer of his dismissal today.
Xavi has been dismissed from his position as coach despite a decision made weeks ago to continue until the end of his contract in 2025.
However, due to some internal issues, Laporta has removed the Spanish coach from his post.
It is worth noting that the top candidate to replace Xavi at Barcelona is the German coach, Hansi Flick.
