Arsenal won on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. against Tottenham Hotspur, but just two hours later, Manchester City did the same thing. The Citizens remain one point behind Arsenal in the Premier League table, but they have one less game played.
The reigning English champions defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 this Sunday, after which Pep Guardiola was asked about the result in the North London derby.
Reacting to Arsenal’s 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, Guardiola responded through The Guardian that he would have preferred the Gunners to lose this match.
“I would have preferred them to lose, but we can’t control what they do. They got a good result, there are still four games left.”
Finally, Pep said he doesn’t think Arsenal will lose any points until the end of the season.
“I don’t think Arsenal will lose any points, so we know exactly what to do.”
The title race now belongs only to Arsenal and Man City, as Liverpool fell behind after drawing away to West Ham United.
