Carlo Ancelotti praised his team’s determination against Barcelona after they secured a late 3-2 win in “El Clasico”.
Ancelotti is on track to win two major trophies in the final weeks of the season before the UEFA Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid’s victory over their old rivals was even more impressive coming four days after their penalty shootout win against Manchester City.
“We managed the situation well, we had to turn the game around twice and we were able to do that,” Ancelotti said after the match.
“And then, with that last drop of energy, from an unforgettable week, we managed to win,” he added.
Real Madrid’s next fixture is an away trip to Real Sociedad on April 26 before heading to Munich for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final four days later.
