Pep Guardiola has given some comments after the draw with Newcastle United.
The Manchester City team dropped points in the third round, playing 3:3 with Newcastle.
Pep Guardiola says his team could not win today, and warned that the Premier League is very difficult to win.
“Great football match. We started well. We lost some duels and they ran a lot. Once the game opened, they were better for 20 minutes. The team showed who it is. Saint-Maximin was dangerous. We should have taken more time in the last third”, were the opening words of the City coach.
“We couldn’t win today. Newcastle is becoming a strong opponent. Leeds beat Chelsea. The Premier League is so difficult,” Guardiola continued.
“It shows how well we have done in the last five years and how difficult it will be. For me, it was enough for the team to fight until the end”, added Pep.
