Dani Alves had paid a bond of 1 million euros two weeks ago to leave Brians 2 prison after more than a year of pretrial detention.
Previously, he had paid 150,000 euros as compensation to the victim with the help of Neymar’s father, who had lent him the money, more precisely in January of this year. And in the final hours, as announced by the AFP agency, Alves returned that money.
“Dani Alves returned 150,000 euros to Neymar’s father a week ago that he had borrowed,” confirmed Ines Guardiola, the Brazilian’s lawyer.
The former Barcelona, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain footballer was released from the sentence he had been sentenced to four and a half years in prison for raping a young woman in the bathroom of a nightclub in December 2022 in Barcelona.
Dani Alves had spent more than a year in pretrial detention at Brians 2 prison.
After payment, he handed over his passports (Spanish and Brazilian) to avoid the risk of escape.
