You and God
(Musings of a woman)
He created the earth with his hands divine
I learned to clasp your hands, holding your line
He chiseled the skies with tints so bright
With you, irrespective of circumstances, I took flight
He shaped the breeze, a masterpiece in the air
In my every fickle breath, I found you there
With your thoughts, I danced shakily in the rain
Realizing clouds held more than just pain
He kept creating cosmos away from my sight
Every oeuvre reached me through your light
Without you, tell me how would I ever know
The essence of Earth, sky and life’s flow?
