Poem by Anujeet Iqbal

For the Holy Muse
(Musings of a woman)

Whose worship shall I sing
whose name do I adore?
In this love’s celestial dance forevermore
Should I carve your face
in every prayer?
Or let the universe weave
our souls, a pair

You are my sublime deity
in every truth I find
In your seraphic eyes
the cosmos intertwined
Oh, let my devotion to you
be a sacred art
Grant me the greatest solace
in your heart

In every poem
you’re my revered muse
In your existence
Thousand galaxies I peruse
Within the temple of my love
we abide
Guided by omniscient
Floating in the eternal tide
