Rodrygo took care to give Madrid the lead, scoring a fantastic goal from outside the box in the eighth minute to make it 1-0. Before the end of the first half, Real Madrid had another good chance to score with Aurelien Tchouamenin (44′), but his header went just wide of the opponent’s goal post.
In the second half, there were good scoring opportunities for both sides, but Real Madrid managed to score once again to clinch the three points. It was once again Rodrygo who came into play, scoring in the 73rd minute to make it 2-0 after an assist from Jude Bellingham.
With this victory, Real Madrid reached 75 points, maintaining an eight-point lead over Barcelona in second place, who have 67 points.
