Real Madrid doesn’t have the funds for Trent Alexander-Arnold

Real Madrid is reported to have withdrawn from the race for the transfer of Liverpool’s right-back, Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The 25-year-old is considered one of the best-balanced defenders.

Since his debut for Liverpool, the English defender has appeared in 302 matches and scored 18 goals.

Goal.com writes that Alexander-Arnold is unlikely to leave Liverpool even if he fails in any of the competitions.

It is believed that the 25-year-old earns £180,000 per week – a much lower figure compared to what captain Virgil van Dijk earns.

However, it is believed that the Englishman would seek significantly higher wages if he were to move to the Bernabeu.

Federico Valverde earns £275,000 per week, but the Englishman could demand even higher wages than the Uruguayan.

Another problem for the transfer of the English defender is the possible arrival of Kylian Mbappe, who is currently the highest-paid footballer per month with over €5 million from his contract with PSG.
