SEPARATION
In the sky, the stars have faded,
Since we two have parted,
Days and nights become a line,
To keep your memory alive.
Over a glass of wine, I cursed,
As a joke, as in despair,
Who doesn’t know that love
Is both honey and poison?
I don’t hide it, I think of you every moment,
When the morning star falls to the ground,
And whispers of hair in the wind
Your voice brings me to mind.
Sometimes with my soul I say I love you,
And other times I say I hate you,
Close to your lips on my neck,
A fire ignites in my body, in desire.
If all separations are like this,
When longing over suffering remains alive,
Let the River testify over me,
For the days and nights we dawned apart.
