“Don’t leave us with 10 players on the field” is the message from the Real Madrid players to Brazilian star Vinicius Jr, according to Spanish forward Joselu.
Joselu praised Vinicius for his personality off the pitch, but admitted that the Brazilian might get a bit nervous when playing for Real Madrid. “Vini is a special guy. Inside the dressing room, he’s very humble, very smiley. He’s treated me very, very well from day one,” Joselu said initially.
“On the field, he transforms a bit, but I think it’s because of the pressure he has to handle in matches. He’s very determined, very good, one of the best players in the world, and I think that worries the rivals.”
“It’s clear that there are aspects he can improve on, but he’s very young and we’re all supporting him. There will be times when he has to decide how to deal with these issues, but he’s a spectacular lad,” Joselu expressed.
“In the dressing room, we have a lot of love for him,” he concluded.
Vinicius Jr will miss Real Madrid’s first match after the international break against Athletic Bilbao due to accumulation of yellow cards.
