Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken at length about Manchester United and his time spent with the English club.
Solskjaer has revealed some behind-the-scenes details with Manchester. The Norwegian coach has disclosed that he advised United to sign striker Erling Haaland in 2018.
At that time, Haaland was 17 years old and would have cost €20 million, but the Red Devils rejected this idea.
“I coached him at Molde for two seasons. The summer before I came here, I told the club, ‘You need to sign this talent. He will be a top player.’ It was June or July 2018 and they said no. They had enough information on players. Then I became the interim manager and we sold Haaland to Salzburg. It was the club’s decision not to sign him at that time. At that time, Dortmund, Juventus, everyone was interested,” said Solskjaer.
Now, Haaland plays for their Manchester City rivals and is excelling in that shirt.
