A new reflection of Dani Alves’ status in Barcelona’s history books has been published online today.
This comes after the Brazilian received a blow from his former club a few days ago.
After it was revealed that Alves had been found guilty of sexual assault and subsequently sentenced to four and a half years in prison, the “Blaugranes” took swift action.
Throughout Barcelona’s website and official club channels, the former defender’s status as a legend was removed.
Alves was one of 102 players in Barcelona’s history, whose efforts were rewarded with a “legendary” status.
However, the 40-year-old continues to be among those players, as the club has reversed its decision.
“AS” recently reported that Barcelona has reconsidered the decision, and Alves has regained his former position as a legend on the club’s official channels.
The former right-back has won everything possible wearing the Barcelona jersey.
